you will need to put the system on the same network an customer lan and you could have a second router for the sip gateway.
put the gateway on the system to second router address so it will send all external traffic to that gateway

No they cant be on different ranges
what I would do is get 4 internal ip for customers lan. 3 on the ns500 and one for new route
Set the ns500 gateway to new router. Set up the tge network on the wan of the router and setup routing to the system
