NRU10 Error report?

Hi,
I have a copy of NRU10 and am connecting to CICS and MICS via ERAD2's. I have successfully backed up and restored many times before but have recently come accross two systems a MICS REL2 and a CICS REL4 which will allow me to use remote tool but when trying to do a back up i get an error report reading "system unknown unable to use back-up/restore tool on unknown system".

I have also recently found that i cannot seem to default the ERAD's via the process on the FAQ's sheet, it seems to work on some but not others regardless of there release.

Can anyone help, please!

I don’t know about that problem, particularly with erads. There are some known issues with 6.1MR software needing additional map files.

As for defaulting it, if the debug does not work you may as well try shorting the capacitor. Some people say they have destroyed RADs doing it, but I have not had problems. You take the rad apart, turn over the circuit board, and short the two conductors on the back side for about 15 seconds. This should default it.

I've heard and tried this once but must admit i didnt get anywhere. I even removed the battery in hope that this would force it but no luck, is there any chance you could elaborate...admitidly i may be doing something wrong!
