Hello everyone, my question is how far back does nru 10 cover as far as system software is concerned. My example is I can direct connect to a 0x32 with t1 r1 software with nru 10 using a fast rad but I can not use the browser tool. Do I need an older version of remote utilities or a different rad?
Thanks in advance

With the norstar manager 3.5 can I still use a fast rad?
Thanks curly

I use N* Mangler 3.5 for R1T1 below, and NRU 9.0 for Rls 2 to 5.x, and NRU 10 for 6.0 and above. I keep all three up and ready to use.

I got nru 10 to work with mics 4.1 no prob.

That's been my experience as well. NRU 10.0 should work for MICS R2 through R6.1. Use Norstar Manager for R1.1 or below. I'm still using an old Pentium with Win95 for testing purposes. Your mileage may vary using Win2000 or XP.

Anything behind Rls 3 can't be backed up :-(

Rls 2 and up is NRU and Rls 1.1 below is N* Manager.
It's a neat old program, but not as easy to use as the remote set or browser tool.

Arr, you say you have both N*Mgr & NRU 10 running on the same PC? After I upgraded to NRU10 my N*Mgr3.5 directory was still there and all but it won't run. when I click on Open Remote Tools after selecting cust in the directory, I get dialog box titled "Error:Norstar Manager for Windows" with "An error occurred trying to excute application" that's as far as I can go. Guess I attempt to reload the 3.5 program.

DueE,
I have two computers at my work station. A different NRU on each box. One box is newer and XPish and the other box is OLD as Brian indicates. Boxes are cheap and switch cables key board accessable these days. I did this because I had the problem you have just had.
Brian, I read what you say, but I experienced problems using NRU 10 on all releases below 6.0. I keep old computers aslo so the chipsets in the modems and Com Port RS232 don't get too far out of date with the dumb phone systems. Did I tell you the one about the M1 breakout box that wouldn't RS232 with a pentium II? Worked with all Com Ports on any older machine but not anything new.... this was a couple of years ago now.
Rob, it IS possible to back up all systems DR5.1 and up using N* Mangler for R1T1 and NRU 8/9 on Rls 2 and up. I particularly like the Excel worksheets where I can. It lets me print and make changes at the same time.

Cheers
