I have NRU 9.0 and am trying to use Norstar manager R3.5 that came with it on a XP machine. I am connecting to an old DR5 modular. It connects fine and reads the system. When I try and print out a report or perform a programming change it starts the process and then the application shuts down with no explanation.

Any ideas?

NRU 9.1 has a version compatable with XP.

Arr,

Are you sure ,because when I opened NRU 9.1 for the XP version I only saw Norstar Manger 3.5 not 3.7,But maybe I'm wrong.I will take a look again. Good Luck!

Okay anyone no where I can upgrade my copy. Have a URL?
Thanks!

here's my problem....trying to use NRU 9.0 on my laptop with XP Pro, not matter what I try XP initializes the COM port, but then always comes back with "modem did not respond"; what has me REALLY confused is that I have the configuration on a desktop and it works every time. Any ideas?
Thanks
Tom

My Avaya software had conflicts with the touchpad and connections. I disabled and works fine now. My Norstar manager appears to operate correctly on my laptop with XP home, but closes down when trying to initiate a configuration command or printing function.

hate to sound like a moron, but how did you disable the touch pad?
Thanks
Tom

GO TO THE BELOW SITE AND YOU WILL HAVE 9.1

ftp://members.cssa.net/Norstar/
AND LOOK FOR THIS (NRU9[1].1-WI8.7_2k_NT_XP.exe)
AND I HOPE YOU HAVE BROADBAND OVER 30 MEG OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

Thank Perry, but I get an error message each time I got there; the message indicates permission needed to access the folder. Any ideas?
Thanks Again
Tom
