CS1000 4.0 with a 4.0 Branch Office - What protocol is used to redirect IP sets registered to the BO back to the MO? Would it be RAS H.323, Dynamic SIP, or NCS? I keep getting the message invalid ID (1) indicating that the end point is not in the NRS data base but calls route correctly when the phone in question is a digital set. I've tried both Phase 1 and Phase 2 I2004 sets with the same results.

NCS handles redirection. Make sure NCS is enabled against the main office endpoint as well as the BO. Also make sure the extension range for the IP sets is built in the NRS against the main office endpoint as a CDP entry.

I'm finally able to work on this again. A new MPLS circuit was installed between the BO and MO and now the IP phones display "server unreachable (2)" and remain in local mode. I suspect a firewall is blocking the ports used for redirection as I can ping from one sig server to the other. From what I can glean from VoIP docs, UDP ports 16500, 16501, 16502, 16540, and 16550 are used for redirection. in the ss, NCS port is set at 16550. Anything else I should check or any advice?
