Hi Guys,

We run a couple of NPX installations in branch offices (IP Recording). We are monitoring the services with SNMP but there seems to be no way to monitor recordings per user.

For instance if there has been no recording for user X (say someone swopped out his phone and his IP changed) in Y number of days send an email to...
This seems like a simple thing to me, but maybe it is not? The users that are setup for recording are in the NPX SQL DB so are the call metadata so if there are no metadata for extension X send of an alarm?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

NICE Sentinel a NICE SNMP product can do this for you via health check reports. sentinel is supported on NPX 3 Up15 onwards

Thanks Nice12345,

Does it matter if your PABX is sending CDR or CTI data to the NPX?

Thanks,

I do not see any errors there relating to IP recording per user? ie. alarming of there are no calls for only one user. (Like when the phones IP changed for some reason)

* I am not an NICE or Voice Recording expert. :)

Alarm ID 600 - Recording Software Error
Alarm ID 601 - Recording Hardware Error
Alarm ID 602 - Recording Line Error
(Is this refering to NPX for port recording?)

Alarm ID 603 - Archiving Error
Alarm ID 604 - CTI Error
Alarm ID 605 - DB Error
Alarm ID 606 - Backup Hardware Error
Alarm ID 607 - Backup Software Error
Alarm ID 608 - Backup Process Maintenance Required

Thanks for the assistance so far.

hi try
the health check reports and realtime monitoring should cover this but ask your local nice presales.

there are other ways but they are beyond the scope of this forum in that if an exception occurs on a recording like e12xxx then send an alert to admin team

all calls that record ok get status ok so any calls that dont get an exception. hcr reports can also be run manually and any issues identified.
