NPS/Extend director problem

I'm trying to use extend director. going in via

http://<servername>/nps

after logging in with admin password all i get is a blank page with novell in the top right and the box to log out. No options for administration or anything.

Am i doing something really stupid

When you log in, do you get any error messages in the console or logger screen on the server?
