IP 406v2 R5_0_15 and IP412 R5_0_15 connected via IP line between the two (they exist w/in the same building. Using G.729 compression, voip silence, enable fast start, out of band dtmf, and allow direct media path all checked.

I have set up a half dozen IP sets off the 406v2. These phones are off site connected via a P2P T1 which is connected on both sides via Netvanta 3430's. Issue is this: When I transfer a call to an extension off the 412 system, the transfer connects, but there is no speech path in either direction. If I transfer from the 412 to the 406 both internally and through the P2P, everything connects fine, it is a transfer issue from the IP sets off site. I have ruled out any Netvanta issues. Hope this makes some form of sense. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Figure it out damn-it!

I suspect you have a routing issue or the gateway that the IP phone points to can't route to the other subnet.

To test this - turn off direct media path for the extension that you test from and then try to make a call

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Thanks Matt. You are correct. When unchecked media path, I could trasfer the call directly, but when I called them directly via 4 digits, we couldn't hear anything. Does this mean routing/gateway issue? Thanks again.
