I've been using PS for about 3 years now, but just recently upgraded to 7.0. After using 5.5 and 6.01 for as long as I can remember, I seem to be in a tad of a pickle after a re-format.

I have about 750 PS supported fonts. Now in the previous versions I installed them in the Windows directory under the "Fonts" heading, re-started, and I was all set. Now with 7.0 I did the same after reformat and re-installation of both 7.0 and the fonts; problem is, PS doesn't see them. So I dig through every sub directory in the PS folder, hoping to see a "PSFonts" folder. Can't seem to locate one...

My question is, where do I move these fonts so PS recognizes them when I load it.

Thank you very much for any help.

Take care,

Dave "Ces" F.

Hi,

Are you saying that you put all the fonts into C:\WINDOWS\FONTS or C:\WINNT\FONTS (depending on your OS)?

That should work. What type of fonts are these - .ttf ?

Now I am "Giggling" at myself Nate. Thanks for the reply, as it made me dig a tad deeper. I had all 700 megs of fonts zipped up in a self extracting file; good idea right? Heh, yeah, if you remember to re-install an unzipper. They all were extracted, but none were unzipped, there-for not installed.

I'd apologize for wasting your time, but considering it fixed my idiocy for a moment or two I suppose it was not a waste.

Thanks for the help.

Take care,

Ces
