now can't open http but www is working

yes,the domain.com point to IP of server which hosting the web site . but still the problem still exist!
 
Make sure your DNS settings on your network card are correct and pointing to the proper DNS server.

how to use a hostheader on the webserver ,
I am sure that I have right DNS on the web server .
 
Well, I wasn't talking about the web server, sorry about that. I was talking about the client workstation. Make sure the DNS server information is correct there.
 
yes, even the client workstation has a right dns server.
 
So I assume the A records for both your domain.com and resolve to the same IP?

So you don't get the error "host unknown" but it does not bring up the page.

This indicates that the web server is not setup correctly. For instance, if it is VirtualHost(apache) by name, both names must be configured as a server name (I forgot the exact directives.) I am sure the concept in IIs is the same.
