I'm with a small company. A handful of us are familiar with crystal reports (6.0 and 8.5) and have been use to compiled crystal reports. I understand that this feature is being dropped by Crystal.

Should we be using Crystal Enterprise? What exactly is it? Is it easy to get up and running? We have a company intranet already set up. I'm not IT but am very interested in progressing and wondering if we should go this way (i.e. Enterprise).

Just a brief summary of its good points, and any warnings about starting up with Enterprise would be appreciated.
 
CE is a report viewing, scheduling, distribution and historical instance management WEB based product, and it isn't cheap.

With CR 8.5 pro and above came the Standard version of CE 8 which should give you an idea of some of it's functionality, also check with BO:


Current Crystal is at ver 10, and the company is now owned by Business Objects, so there are many changes ahead.

There are 3rd party viewer products that you might consider as they are much less expensive, and they're Windows based:
