Novell5.1 performance tunning

Hi

I installed one novell5.1 server but when we access that from the network it is giving very slow performance, the server is new compaq PIII. Can anybody help me to tune the performance.

Have you applied any Service Packs for a start?

yep a bit of info would be nice

what's the server spec?
what version of compaq agents are installed?
how many users?
what are your stats etc
nss or traditional?
ip only or ipx as well?
clients etc?

First thing to check NIC card duplexing.
