I have a 5.1 user login script which maps 2 drive letters on the server. The script works on W9x machines but gives an error message (886f) and does not map the drives on W2k and XP boxes. There are no container scripts.

Here are the scripts:

MAP ROOT M:=eclin_ms\cai\ccc\cai1:
MAP ROOT S:=eclin_ms\cai\ccc\history:

Any ideas and help would be appreciated.

Thanks

looking at the script the map commands seems wrong.

Is't the colon in the wrong place.

MAP ROOT M:=eclin_ms\cai\ccc\cai1:
MAP ROOT S:=eclin_ms\cai\ccc\history:

Lee is right - please can you tell us which is the server name, which is the volume, and which is the directory structure? If it is a Directory map object, please can you list the full context with dots instead of slashes. -----------------------------------------------------
