Has anyone setup Novell Monitoring/Trend Analysis for future capicity planning with Tivoli? Does it give detailed information? I am evaluating ManageWise right now and managewise seems to be able to do the job.. We have Tivoli deployed for Software Dist., Remote control., and the Tivoli Component IS loaded on Netware already, just not utilizied.. Thanks for any information.<br>

Novell Monitoring/Trend Analysis/Real Time Stats...

We are already running Managewise for capacity planning and alerting on our Netware 4/5 servers - and we're pretty happy with it. However, we're considering using Tivoli Distributed Monitoring on Netware as it's already used on other platforms here and to centralise alerting with TEC.<br>

In tests so far I've found a number of issues with DM on Netware - most minor but annoying (eg.console logs flooded with load/unload statements, search paths not defined...) In particular, DM does not seem to coexist with MW2.6 as every time a monitor NLM loads an SNMP trap is sent to your MW console (=many many times if you're monitoring CPU utilization every 2 minutes).
