Novell GroupWise Messenger v. 1.0.2. My apologies moderators if this post does not belong here, but I'm desperate.

Some of my users (4 out of 320 give or take) are being randomly disconnected from the GroupWise Messenger server. I can check my Contacts List and the users in question are displayed as "online." However, if I send them an IM, they do not receive the screen pop or the message and a few minutes later, the server logs a disconnect.

A couple of other things: a short while after logging in to their messenger client, the icon disappears from the system tray. I have tried reinstalling/updating the client. Host OS is XP Pro SP2 (yick).

Thanks in advance,

Greg

I don't have messenger in front of me, but how are your threads? I think you can set this option. Also you should check the Packet Recieve buffers on your server and make sure they are at a good level.

Thanks for the response, Marvin. I have made some mods based on your query. We have close to 350 users and the max thread value was set to 15. I have doubled this value to 30 and now I'll monitor. I also bumped up the threads allowed to connect from the messenger agent to e-directory from 15 to 30 as we were having minor AM authentication issues.
