Novell logins taking two tries with correct info 1

I have three machines all running 2000 professional that are experiencing difficulties login into our Novell 5.0 network. After they enter their ID and password (correctly) they get a message telling them the are unable to login. If I click enter to acknokledge the error and immediately enter again without changing anything they login.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi -

We have seen this in our environment (along with a lot of other NetWare Client-related problems). We no longer see it in our current builds, and I suspect it is from updates to the Novel GINA we applied for some other password issues. Grab the latest nwgina.dll and nwginar.dll from Novell's website; make sure they're 4/25/01 or later. Alternatively they just released Support Pack 3 for the client which should solve the problem as well:

Could also be a slow connect because of an IP conflict.Try a ping and see if it pings slow.

Thanks for the patch release info. I was waiting for that. I am testing it out on one machine and then will apply to the rest.
