Hello all,
I have win 95/98 machines running Novell for groupwise email, and a Windows peer-to-peer network. Users are able to hit the cancel button and access the local machine. Anyone know how to prevent this from happening?
Thanks in advance.
E
This is the nature of Win95/98. Access to the local machine is unrestricted. If you absolutely need to make each machine secure, then you're going to have to set up a password in the your CMOS settings.
If the other machines on the network are the concern, you can set up a sharing password for each machine. This will keep shared files and printers secure from those who have access a local machine but don't know the passwords to access files and printers on the other machines. There's always a better way...
