I get this popup when clicking on the iManager button in the Netware Remote Manager window in Netware 6.5 Beta download. Any clues how to get the service running and what it needs to run? I believe Apache and Tomcat are runnning because I can do just about everything else to manage the server. Ports 220 and 8009 are listening fine. Does iManager on Netware 6.5 listen on something different? I couldn't find anything in support. Thanks! Steve

Error message in Popup Window

iManager Service
Novell iManager does not respond on 192.168.1.15.

Have you applied SP3? I had problems with iManager until I ran SP3 on my server.

nope, hadn't done that yet. Downloading it now. Will let you konw what happens. Thanks fro the suggestion!!
Steve

No go. SP3 is for Netware 6.0 only. I will look around for a SP for Netware 6.5. I mean if they wanted a different release, why not just call it NW 7.0 ??

Thanks anyway, I will keep looking....

deep breath

okay, NetWare 6.5 is not rleased yet.
So of course there will be no service pack for it.

When you say you are trying to get to the iManager via port 220, that is a typo right?

The URL you should be going to is
You MUST specify https for two reasons. One, to tell the system to use https and also because IE is stupid and when you have to specify http or https when you go to a port other than port 80.

See if this TID helps at all

Hummmm missed the little 5 at the end of the 6., sorry about that. Guess I'll be upgrading again in the future (here I thought I had all my upgrades out of the way)

Haha, no problem Sobak. Yes Provogeek, it was a typo. I did mean 2200 and I know IE is dumb in that you need to specify http:// I never had to do that with netscape!! Anyway, Yes I am aware how to get into try the link but I get Page cannot be found. When I try to run iManager from within Remote Admin (it's a little button on the tool bar), another IE popup reads exactly...

iManager Service
Novell iManager does not respond on 192.168.1.15.

Now I am thinking that I may not have checked iManager from the initial installation. I may wipe out what I have and reinstall from scratch.... Will let you know how it goes....

Thanks for all the replies!
Steve

I reinstalled 6.5 and iManager is working. I am guessing I never checked iManager to install. Oh well, if all else fails, do it all over again!!

Thank you all for your suggestions.
