Hello,

I'm the IT person for a medium sized organization running a single server with Open Enterprise Server (Netware version). We use it for file sharing and for our MAS90 accounting database.

Recently, we installed Kaspersky antivirus on the workstations, and we started getting some machines with random blue screen errors.

I discovered the problem was related to a conflict with the Novell Client we are using (4.91 SP3 with post-SP3 patches). Novell says the solution is to simply install a newer client, which has fixed the bug.

The problem is, the "supported platform matrix" on Sage MAS90's website indicates that it only supports the Novell client we currently have if we're running an OES server, and not the newer ones. This document is over a year old, however. I was wondering if anyone knew if it's safe to install the newest novell client if they're running MAS90?

Thank you!

Thank you

Time to test it on your test client PC. You have one don't you??? If not, go and beat your boss until he gives you something for a test bed. That kind of thing is best tested internally to verify it will work in your environment.

I can't imagine why a Newer client would be a problem. MAS90 just takes a while to update their docs. They probably do it once every couple years.
