is there a way i can preserve the last "username" in my login screen? or possibly the password?

Hi,

I know of a way you can save the last user-name that logged in, but not the password. To get the user-name;

right click on network neighborhood/my network places and go to properties

(if in XP/2k, then right click on local area connection and go to properties)

click on Novell NetWare client and then click properties

click on the location profiles tab, click on default, and then click properties

click properties on the next screen and it should bring up a login box

there should be a check box above the user name field that says 'save profile after successful login' you'll want to click that, then click o.k. o.k. o.k. o.k. until you're back to your desktop.

hope that helps,
Josh
