Novell client and xp laptop problems

Have an interesting problem - rolling out PC and laptops XP office 97 & Outlook 98 - with NOvell client 4.83 sp2.
They use TCP for the windows and IPX for the novell

PC's are fine howver the laptops drop out of the domain and need to have the client removed and then reintstalled. After that everything is fine.

Any ideas???

Possibly due to kerberos.......
