This is unusual.... Adobe Distiller does not work (not responding) when we are logged on the the Netware Server. As soon as we remove the network cable, it works. I've ruled out the Anti-Virus software because it only scans files written to the network. Novell had this issue with its Client 4.7 for NT / 2000. It said to update to Client 4.71 I update our client to Client 3.32 (Windows 98SE). This didn't make a difference.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thanks,

Jeremy

What if you kept the Network cable connected and DO NOT login to NetWare? Do you still see the problem?

Have you tried using the Microsoft Client for NetWare NetWorks?

How do you have Distiller configured and what protocols do you have running?

Please advise.

When we do not login to Netware and keep the cable connected, Distiller functions properly. Distiller configuration was verified by Adobe as being okay. I havn't tried Microsoft Client for NetWare. That might be worth trying. Any more info?

Thanks,

Jeremy

If you have the ability, you may want to use a protocol analyzer (Sniffer or other like device) to see what kind of traffic is being passed to and from the workstation. I beleive that will tell you everything you want to know.

Good Luck.
