I have just installed ntsp6a and now have very slow connections from my workstations (which have novell 3.1 clients with sp2 installed) when accessing files on the NT Server.

The workstations access the NT server using TCPIP, I have one workstation that has never had any version of a novell client installed and this has no problems connecting when any nt service pack is installed.

This was not a problem for the novell clients when I had ntsp3 on the NT Server. I have tried to completly uninstall the clients to use the microsoft client but still have delays of 5 minutes when connecting to the server it should take 6 to 10 seconds. (the novell client must alter something?)

I cannot go back to service pack 3 due to Y2K issues and still have the same problems on service pack 4 5 6 and 6a!

I have used the novell uninstall program and run the winsock 2.2 upgrade and installed everything I can think of all to no avail.

Novell say its not their problem and surprise surprise so do microsoft ! Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
