Helo,

Is there a way to merge Active Directory Users with Novell i.e I would like to have
users when logging in to their PCs/WorkStations be authenticated in both the Domain and Novel Tree.

Thank You!

Yes. Novell sells a product that does that. I'm not sure what it's called now, but it used to be called NDS for NT. Hopefully, someone else will answer your question better than I can, but yes, it does exist.

Basically what it does is install eDirectory (new name for NDS) on Windows servers, replacing AD.

If your workstation are part of your domain, and you have the Novell client on the workstations, you should be able to login without having to authenticating twice (once to each directory).. The however, relies on your account names/passwords being the same/synchronized on each system. There is no 'out of the box' way to do this automatically. It requires another product.

Novell IDM (Identity Manager) will allow you to sync usernames/passwords between Active Directory and eDirectory. It's one of the basic functions of the IDM Active Directory connector.

The MS Service mentioned above - do not know how well it works. However, most MS tools are typically designed as migration tools rather than integration tools.
