We have installed nss volumes instead of traditional volumes on servers. Our school software needs traditional volumes. Is there a way without reloading the server to change a volume to traditional.
Thank you for your help,
cindy

No, no tool to convert NSS to traditional was ever made (only the other way around).

You can create another volume and make it a traditional volume to store the schools software on.

Is there a way besides adding a new drive? This is for compus software. thanks, cindy

I am guessing. If the NSS volume cannot be used anyway, remove it and create a traditional volume. If you are using it, maybe you can back it up to tape, remove it, recreate it traditionally and restore from backup. Then use it as well for the school software. Hope this helps.
