novell 4.11 mirroring and backup problems

I have installed a new 4.11 server that has the following equipment <br>
dual adaptec 2940 u/w controllers with a seagate scsi dat and two 2<br>
gig seagate u/w hard drives.<br>
problem:with the system duplexed and the backup scheduled it will fall out of mirror if i stop the backup the mirroring is fine.<br>
The backup software is backup exec. also when the scheduled backup runs it will backup the first night then on second night give error reading tape /or check cabling. I have changed the controllers with no change and if i schedule multiple backups every 15 min backing up small amounts of data there is no problem. Thank You for any input.

I see this post is a month old... did you ever find the cause of your problem?

So far we took one controller out and every thing works fine. we will probably wait a month and put a new controller to resetup the duplex.We will know then which is the cause ie controller or duplexing in novell
