Novell 4.1 disk space

i deleted 5GB of data from my novell server, and i purged the volume after that, still i do not see a matching free space on the volume.
any ideas why?

Are you seeing this on your workstation? Through NWADMIN32-volume stats? Maybe via Windows Exporer properties?

What version of NetWare are you running? How about the Version of the NetWare Client?

Have any Support Packs been loaded?

Please advise.

am using novell 4.1, and clint 3.31.0, am using all the above methodes to check the size.

Try running a command prompt, selecting the drive and running:

NDIR /VOL

and seeing what you get?? -----------------------------------------------------

HI.

The files were probably compressed, therefor you should have gained about 2-3 gb more space instead of 5.
