Novell 3.12 software error; Need Help!

Our lab is running Windows 3.10, DOS 6.2 and Novell 3.12 on 386 machines. This week, the server stopped in mid boot with the following error message: "volume directories do not match".

My problem is no instructions(except the useless manuals) to correct the error. Josten's(Compass Learning, now) does not support our software because of age, therefore, we are stuck.

I am sure it is fairly easy to fix but have no idea where to start and Josten's software does not handle experimentation very well.

I am hoping someone might remember Novell 3.12 and be able to steer me in the right direction.

Try loading SERVER.EXE with the -NAS (no STARTUP.NCF or AUTOEXEC.NCF) and running a VREPAIR on your volume(s) -----------------------------------------------------
