I like the fact that if a handset is not logged on NoUser can be barred from making external calls except emergency. Can I stop idiot users making anonymous internal prank calls by barring NUser from internal calls? My extention range is 2xxx.
Not surprised, the system matches dialing to existing extension (user and group) numbers before short codes, so internal numbers are always dialable.
My suggestion (apart from an official warning letter to the pratts) would be to set 'no user' to forced account. Double-check that that doesn't cause a problem with emergency number dialing (and if it does override it with some DialEmergency short codes for those numbers).
Try this one :
Create a user and name it Busy, give it a new number ( i.e. 100 ) and turn on Do Not Disturb.
Create following SC in user NoUser:
Short Code: ?D
Telephone Number: 100
Line Group ID: 0
Feature: DialExtension
If the handset is lifted you will hear busy tone at once.
Dialling Emergency numbers is impossible from NoUser!
This is not mandatory in every country but in some it is.
You have a point there IPGuru, if it was on INDeX, this is a IP Office.
I've tested on my SmallOffice with a 2050 and i cant dial anything if i'm not logged on with the earlier posted programming.
