Notrton Anti Virus causes monitor to go to power saving mode

Win95 machine, fairly low level standard stuff.<br>
Load Win95 as usual, install office 97 and so on. Loaded Norton 5 the same way as normal, do a restart to check for viruses after install and it puts the monitor to power saving mode no matter what the resolution.<br>

Anyone seen this before?
