Hi there,

Hopefully this is the correct forum for this thread. Here goes...

I have created a DTS package to run on a schedule and generate an email on failure.

The email group should contain a combination of both addresses internal to the organisation and external addresses. However, at the moment, if the group contains any external addresses no mails are sent (even to the internal ones). When I press 'test', SQL Server believes it has successfully sent the message so I recieve no errors.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I'd recommend creating a DL on your exchange server and having the SQL Server send to that DL. That way Exchange can deal with the sending messages to everyone, and the SQL Server only needs to send one message.

Between the ESP=ON and the RUM (Read Users Mind) upgrade, I'm ready to go.

Thanks for your help.

Its a Domino server. Do you know of any issues with this or do the same rules apply?

Would I be able to find the details of the Mailserver i'm using TSQL?

Thsnks again.

The same rules should apply. You would normally get that information from the Mail client installed on the SQL Server.
