Notifying Groupwise Recipient on mail

I am using the mailsession for sending mail from PB application. It is sending the mail correctly ,however, the mail does not notify the user that he has received a new mail. If I send a mail manually, it does notify. Can anyone please tell me how do I set this property.

I am using PB 7.0 and Groupwise 5.5
