I can't get the Notification List to show on screen. After playing with the resolution on my monitor it disappeared and now I can't get it back. I tried options and restore defaults but it's still not there. Anybody know how to fix it?

What exactly disappeared? What changes did you make and to what?

If you are not getting notify to pop-up when a message arrives, make sure in GW Notify Options> 'General' Tab>that 'Check for Mail every' X minutes is small enough that it will check fairly often (1 to 5 minutes) and 'Show Notify Dialog for' X seconds is large enough that you won't miss it (30 to 60). Then in 'Notify' tab, the 'show dialog' is checked for the different priority types.

Cheers,

Mark ;-)

Well, I do get to see the dialogue box when I get a new message, but when I click on the little world icon in my taskbar, I should get to see a "notification list" of the new messages waiting to be read. This is what I'm not getting on my machine.

I only noticed this after I changed the resolution on my 21" monitor to the largest it would go (so that the icons got very small) and I changed my taskbar from the bottom of the screen to the top. (sorry if the description seems juvenile, but I wanted to make sure that you knew what I'm talking about.)

Please let me know if you know anything about how to fix this, and thanks for your first response!

What desktop OS are you running? Also what version of GW and what is the GW client version running? You might try and run a Structural Rebuild on the user with GWCheck. You also might want to try uninstalling the client, running the GroupWise Cleaning Agent (GWCA55.EXE), then re-installing the client.

Cheers,

Mark ;-)

I am running GroupWise 5.5 on Windows 98 SE. When shuting down my computer, GroupWise 5.5 Notify will not respond and in turns, freeze up my computer.

Your help is very much appreciated.
