GroupWise 7.0 running on XP workstations.

We are having a problem with the Splash Screen displayed when Notify is launched. Intermittently, the splash screen will stay there and never go away unless you exit Notify.

If I have say WordPerfect and IE running and I close or minimize IE, WordPerfect will show but with the Notify splash screen displayed "on top". If you actually click on the WordPerfect window, the Notify splash screen is sent to the background. If you show the desktop, there is the
Notify splash screen.

Anyone else seen this and/or know the fix?

I don't have the answer, but I too have the same problem.
At least it's not just you, right ? ;)

same problems overhere. Sometimes a screen refresh works, most of the time it does not.

Oddly enough, mine seems to have fixed itself now.
I don't recall doing anything other than upgrading my video drivers. Maybe that's the answer.

are the xp fully patch or ?

i have never seen this and i'm using 7 on xp

I am also getting this problem running on XP Pro SP2 (fully patched) and using GroupWise 6.5.1

I've had this problem in the past. Exit Notify in the tray, open the GroupWise client, go to Tools, Options, Security, Notify tab. Select the addressbook icon, and remote your name located under "Selected" and press okay. Now go back in to the addressbook icon, and find your name in the Novell GroupWise addressbook. With your name highlight check "subscribe to alarms," and "subscribe to notifiations." Then press okay. That should fix the problem.

I've had the same problem. I am a high school English teacher using GW from both home and school on my laptop. I'm running XP SP2 with all patches and GW 7.0.1 build 364. It's always the Notify splash that gets stuck, and never the GW Splash. I worked around the annoyance by creating a shortcut with the command line target: "C:\Novell\GroupWise\notify.exe /bl" that disables the splash screen altogether. I know it's not a fix, but it eliminates the hassle.
