I am trying to brainstorm on how to ring a phone in a break room down the hall when there is a call in queue. They do not want to have an agent always logged into the phone in the break room, but they would like the phone to ring when a call goes into queue. Any idea on how to achieve that without affecting call stats? Thanks TJ

Doesn't sound like a very intense call center you have there...

All comments aside, what product are you using? Symposium, Contact Center Mananger? Are you using web client?

Can you extend a PC speaker into the breakroom? Web Client supports beeping a PC speaker when a threshold is exceeded.

I can't see how you can ever get that phone to ring without an agent being logged in. Miles probably has the best solution but you could also install a web client machine in there with a real time diplay.

This is an excerpt from another thread that I created a while back

Does anyone know where I would go in CCM to configure a computer speaker to be alerted when a call hits the queue?
I looked and nothing jumps out at me.

On CCMA server Programs> Agent Destop Display> Server Configuration Parameters. You can select Beep based on the agent threshold levels.
The agents running the ADD application will get the beeps.
Or you could run the ADD app on just one PC with some kick-a** speakers.

The beep sound can be changed in WinXP in Control Panel> Sounds and Audio devices>Sounds tab> Default Beep.
Normally it is set for ding.wav but can changed to whatever you want.
