Notification Schedule for Octel 250 not working...

Trying to get the Octel to notify me of new msgs.

Octel 250

Following prompts in the system:

4 (personal options)
4 (Notification Schedule)
1 (1st Schedule)

I wasn't sure what number format it would accept. So I tried 9+number; 9+1+AreaCode+Number; and only Number

9+Number comes back with an error. The other two are accepted but still do not work.

Is there something I need to change on the system side?

the octel may be set to dial the 9 and a 1 in menu 6-1 look at it and see for the dialing seq for a local and long dist call

You also need to check the dialing sequence to ensure that the system is set up with the proper dialing sequence. You may need to program some pauses in the sequence or set up the sequence with the wait for dial tone.
