Notification of calendar change by another person

Person uses Exchange for his calendar. He also has a secretary who updates his calendar. He would like some way to be notified when a change or entry has been made, but he does not want an email or phone call. He is thinking of something like a reminder notice popup. Can this be done in Exchange or any 3rd party software?
