I have had a CPU problem with my computer That I wa sunable to fix, i have tried replacing CPU with older one, however my system would then not display anything.

Figuring that this must be due to the support on the MB for that CPU I then tried putting everything in my older system and using my older CPU and still I get no display.

The computer sound slike it is starting the POST routine, but nothing is displaying. i get no video signal.

I then tried swapping out the video card. I tried 2 different AGP cards then I even tried a PCI card but no change.

Need some help

Have you looked at the ram? Usually bad ram, bad ram slot, or no ram will result in nothing but some post beeps.

Are you getting any beeps at post?

Make sure you putting the currect CPU into the correct slot.

Make sure the socket is designed for both CPU's.

Check the CPU for missing pins, any missing pins can result in a no post.

Look for blown caps on the mobo.

Check power supply.

No post could be a number of things, some simple and some extreamly difficult to find.

Try this first. Remove everything from the mobo but the CPU and at least 1 stick of ram and your video card. See if you get something on video. Then, replace 1 item at a time until you get the fault and poof, you found the problem.

Sometimes it's best to just strip it down and work your way through each device.

I had the same problem and believe it or not, it was a sound card.
