Nothing happens when running application

Hi.
I've set up an application exe file on another machine with all the relevant libs, data etc. and SET PATH to the correct data folder - but when I run the application absolutely NOTHING happens? There's nothing silly in the main program. I build the EXE on my machine and copy it over on CD. As you may be able to ascertain I haven't been using V9 for very long!
