Notes won't update until I click the synch button

I know with outlook there was a problem regarding Service pack 2 where emails wouldn't come in until you clicked on another email or sent an email. The solution for that was to do the office service packs.

Here I seem to have the same problem with a user where they do not see any new emails for a while. Then when the person clicks the synch button, she gets everything at once. This is a local user connected directly to the lan. There aren't any other problems with her database besides that. Does this require a reinstall of notes?

How often does this user have the replication set?

like Jeff I'd also go and check whether she is using a local replica and replicates lets say every 10 minutes, so that is when she will see new mails.

This is a local replica and is set to sync every 2 minutes. It worked before, but here's some info I have recently learned. She loaded the Outlook Damo. Management found out and ordered her to remove it. Since then, she's had all kinds of problems. We've rebuilt her database, remimaged her machine and she still has all kinds of problems. Thank you, I appreciate your help.
