Notes User ID location R5 1

Hi all you experts out there,
Here is a simple one for you:

I am totally new to Domino/Notes (R5), I am not very clear on creating user IDs and where they are stored and how (in what form) to put them onto floppies and transfer them onto the client.

Can someone tell me the steps in registering a user and creating an ID.

please help if you can.

You will need the administrator's client (install it from the client cd)
Select your server, and go to the people & groups tab
On the right side, you will find 'Tools'.
Under tools, select 'register person'
Fill in the fields, one of the fields will be : where do you want to store the ID file... do not store it in your NAB, but put it on a disk
After completing the fields, add the person to the registation queue at the bottom of the screen
Click 'register person' or 'register all' to register this user... Peter Van Eeckhoutte
