Hi All,
Good Day.
We have an unusual situation that is concerning us. We have a few clients with the NOTES backup, take for example a client which has a saveset - NOTES:nadb03. During backup this saveset gets broken down in to a number a smaller savesets - NOTES:nadb03_1, NOTES:nadb03_2 and so on. We checked the saveset information for this client and found that a few of these chunks show as aborted but the savegroup shows the client as successful. I am wondering how this is possible.

Below are some details regarding the NetWorker environment.

NetWorker server : NetWorker 7.4.2.Build.431 Power Edition/162
NetWorker Server OS : SunOS 5.10 Generic_127111-09 sun4v sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise-T2000
Server Parallelism : 64
Device Parallelism : 16

NML : LNMs_H1_2005.Build.361
NOTES server OS : Windows 2003

This sometimes happens and it is due to the internal sequencing. savegrp may run successfully although save is having problems.

It is best practice not only to rely on the status but also verify the amount of data which has been backed up. This allows you to detect (accidentally) excluded structures.

Rovinabi, there is a bit of work to be done with Notes.

Could you post your nsrnml_config.txt from the nsr directory. Your client in NetWorker should be pointing to the location of this file.
