I have used Sidekick 95 since forever, and never had any problems, but yesterday I had a power outage. When the energy was restored Sidekick 95 wouldn't start and sent a "Not enough memory" message, so I copied all my data and reinstalled the software.

All went fine but I can't see my notes. The skcontent file looks fine but the note headers (sknoteheader) is a 40kb empty file. Any Ideas on recovery ?

Thanks in advance.

I wrote a "how-to" in the FAQ section about recovering corrupted cardfiles (including all the notes that are attached). I had to do this when I screwed up my hard-drive by accidentally formatting (don't ask). It is a gruesome process but it might work for you if all else fails. Good luck.

Dear mborbolla,

Doug's FAQ is brilliant at describing the way to recover data and is worth a read by anyone in this forum who discovers they have lost data.
The other thing to make sure of is that if you have a problem and your data appears to be unreachable by Sidekick, make sure you backup ALL the files that constitute each section.
The definitive explanation is on the original Starfish FAQ pages whose address is mentioned in the following FAQ here.
