Notes default fonts

When I launch my Notes I would like to see something other than the default fonts and color schemes. Where can you change these settings to where I can select my colors and the fonts that I prefer to see upon launching the program? Additionally, I would like to compose my email with yet another font, I appreciate your help in advance.

Changing the default font (File -> Preferences -> User Preferences) will change the font for everything in Notes. To change how your e-mail memo looks you would need to create a new memo and make your font changes and save the memo as a new stationery document (Tools -> Save as Stationery). Then you would create your new memo's using this new stationery (Tools -> New Memo-Using Stationery). It's a tad painful but that's what you would need to do.
