Notes cannot be generated

I use Act8!Basic on XP Prof and have sometimes a problem with adding notes.
After editing a new note I get the error message "Note could not be generated. Probably a contact or a link were deleted".
After restarting ACT once or twice or rebooting Windows I can work again.

I would try doing a database repair from ACT8Diag and see if that helps

act8Diag starts with the error message "Could not connect to the SQL Server Instance

Are you running with a network database?
