One of my users has a problem - when he prints his Calendar from Notes, a strange 'graphicky' font is used instead of a traditional text font.
Somehow, i have recently found that 'Helvetica' is one of the standard fonts for Notes, but it does not appear to be installed on the client machine.

The weird thing is, on my Admin machine, i can successfully print the users calendar, but this machine does not seem to have the 'Helvetica' font installed either.

Do i have to do something to Lotus Notes ot fonts.ini in order to fix it?

This one has me totally confused!

Check the printer settings on your users machines against the one of the admin machine. Specifiaccly graphics rendering of non true-type fonts. Gamesman

have checked the print dialogue boxes of the two machines - they both look the same.
Could it be something to do with the fonts.ini or notes.ini, or where else can i check printer settings - both machines are using HP Deskjet 1120c accross the LAN.

If both printers are on the network then print the users file from the admin machine on the users printer. This will help isolate the problem to either the users pc settings or the printers settings. Gamesman

done that - it prints OK whiche leads me to some setting on the users machine.

i am about to install another different printer on the machine and see if this works.

One thing ive not mentioned - the Notes print preveiw displays correctly on users machine, so it would appear to be the print driver or something

Well,
i have now installed a Cannon Network printer, which is also attached to my Admin machine. Same result, I can print successfully, but the user still gets garbage.
I went to a notes mail document, and the text properties say that the default Sans-Serif font is 'Helvetica' - this font is not installed on either machine.
I changed the font to Arial (installed), but same problem- Notes preview displays OK, but at print time.....
If it is the print driver, how do i change it - therew is nothing in the dialogue box to change TTF fonts. I have tried RAW and EMF data formats - no good.

Any help gratefully received. chEErs
