Hi Guys, can you help me in this one?

Before, we are using Notes R5.0.5 for all desktop clients (win98 & winxp). Then I got a copy of Notes R5.0.11 and installed (clean installation) it in the xp boxes.

Few of the clients (2 or 3) are having some problem with the archive/archive settings . Whenever you go to archive, a message appears - "Cannot access archive setting: Invalid or nonexistent document".

The previous installation of notes was in c:\notes, while the new installation is in c:\lotus\notes.

Do you think the cause of the problem is with the path/directory? I'm just wondering why I was able to manually change the archive setting's path for the other clients.

The problem is consistent with all the 3 clients. Do you have an idea how to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I solved the same kind of problem some while ago.
The user had the same problem after replacing the design of the mailbox with R5.07 template while the client was still on R5.02

After upgrading the client to R5.07 I did the following:

1/ I replaced the design again to be sure
2/ I selected some documents and selected "archive->selected documents". That still worked.
3/ I now could open the settings document and created a new archive file.

After this, things worked fine.

Kind regards,

Hi Dominik, Thanks for your reply.

Could you please elaborate more on how to replace the design of the archive. Is there a template for the archive or creating a new database?

Regards,
