When I try to annotate a model image in a paperspace viewport, the leader, dimensions, or labels become hidden by the viewport itself. The VP's and annotations plot OK, but on screen they are hidden.

Since we use ACAD as a solid modeler and don't often use paperspace I can't remember how to correct the problem, though I do remember doing something to fix it...;-)

Can anyone help me??

Hi insitebuilders,

Change your SHADEMODE variable to 2D wireframe.

I guess there's no way then to annotate a solid model thru paperspace..? For examble if one wants to add text to a shaded object...??

Thx for the response...

You can, it just doesn't display properly. Usually when you're working with paper space, you usually care about the plot, not the display part, so we just put up with it.

If this is true in your case, just set your viewports hideplot option on and then when you plot, everything should show as you want it to on the hard copy.

But, if it's just the display portion you're after, you'll need to move your annotations to model space.

OK, thx, it does plot with the annotations over the shademode model, I just thought I was missing something since I can't see it in paperspace.

Thx again
