Notes 6.5.3 - Forwarding E-Mail attaches Trash e-mails

One of our users as a bizarre problem which occurs occasionally and I can not explain why it happens?

When they go to forward an e-mail (the forwarding e-mail can be either an internal or external e-mail) all the e-mails in their Trash folder are automatically attached to this new e-mail. Fortunately, you can see this within the e-mail before it is send on - could be embarrassing if certain e-mails were send to external sources

The problem does not happen every time - it seems to be very random. The user in question is proficient in the user of Notes so I am confident that they are not doing anything silly

Info : Lotus Notes client 6.5.3 running under Windows 2000 SP4- Domino Server 6.5.3 running under Windows 2000 Server SP4. Both client and server systems have well controlled/maintained virus protection.

This is a new one ! It seems to me that the user's mail file needs to be checked (fixup from the admin panel)and compacted.
Also, it might be an idea to uncheck the soft deletions just to find out if that has anything to do with it.
