We are planning an upgrade to Domino 6 soon, but for a time we will still have some users using Notes client 4. Does anyone know of any potential issues or problems that may arise until we can get these users upgraded?

TIA.

Regards,
Tony.

I would move to R6 on the client as well. More info:
Abstract
Important Note: Lotus Software strongly recommends that customers upgrade all mail servers that have R4.5x/4.6x mail templates to Domino 6. (Historical document # is 194953)

Content
Important Note: Lotus Software strongly recommends that customers upgrade all mail servers that have R4.5x/4.6x mail templates to Domino 6.

There have been a number of fixes and workarounds made in Notes/Domino 6 in order for meeting invitations to coexist/work between people who use the Calendaring & Scheduling feature of Notes/Domino 4.5x/4.6x and Notes/Domino 6). When administrators upgrade the Domino 4.5x/4.6x server that contains the R4.5x/4.6x template to a Domino 6 server it improves the meeting workflow until the Notes Client and mail templates can be upgraded to the Notes/Domino 6 design.

Apologies, I haven't been remotely clear. All our servers are currently at 5.0.12, 90% of our clients are at 5.0.11 using the iNotes5 mail template. However, 10% of our users are using 4.5 client and the StdR45Mail template.

The document you suggested gave me a good starting point and it seems that this configuration is supported by Lotus.

Thanks for your input.

Regards,
Tony.
